It is important to have security for your website to prevent from hacker and spammer. Its very hard to tell when will they attack, so we have to be prepaired for war.

1. Make sure to use hard to guess complex  password combination and username.
2. Change your password frequently.
3. Put a captcha on forms to prevent spammers sending emails to you.
4. Install plugin that will filter the comment function to prevent spammers
5. Sdd some extra security and firewall to your site by using a security plugin that enforces a lot of good security practices.
6. And make  sure to frequently backup your website
